ubuntu-lts: Linux-native vendor: ships KDE Neon, Ubuntu or other distros, no Windows licence. The Ryzen AI 9 365 is Strix Point, so it wants kernel 6.11 or newer for the Radeon 880M and the deepest s2idle states; Slimbook's shipped images carry a recent enough kernel, a stock 24.04 LTS install would not. All-AMD so the stack is clean. No fingerprint reader by design. RAM is soldered LPDDR5x, pick capacity at order.
fedora: Fedora 41+ has a new enough kernel for Strix Point and runs this cleanly. EU vendor, so EU buyers skip the import VAT that hits System76 orders.
