MSI Stealth 16 AI Studio A1V (2024)
A 1.99 kg creator-leaning Stealth with a 4K 120 Hz OLED, a big 99.9 Wh battery, and about 6 hours unplugged. Linux runs with NVIDIA caveats, but the absence of any Linux fan tooling means the chassis runs warm under load.
Compiled from public sources and community data, not hands-on tested. What that means.
Best on fedora. Confidence: medium

fedora: NVIDIA proprietary driver required for the 105W RTX 4070 in Optimus mode. No first-party Linux tooling; MSI Center is Windows-only, so fan and power profiles are not adjustable without third-party tools. Suspend needs the NVIDIA suspend services enabled. The 4K OLED panel is fine at the native 120 Hz on Wayland. Slotted DDR5, two SO-DIMM slots.
