ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED (S5506)
A 3K 120 Hz OLED 15-incher that street-prices well below 1099 dollars on sale, which is the whole pitch. Build is plasticky and the Meteor Lake CPU is unremarkable. On Linux the OLED is the win and the IPU6 webcam is the loss. Good value if the screen is what you came for.
Compiled from public sources and community data, not hands-on tested. What that means.
Best on ubuntu LTS. Confidence: high

ubuntu-lts: Meteor Lake plus a 3K 120 Hz OLED. Same Core Ultra caveats: the IPU6 webcam needs the out-of-tree libcamera stack, audio needs current sof-firmware. ASUS function keys are partly covered by the asus-nb-wmi module. OLED means you want a screen-dimming or pixel-shift habit. Fingerprint on Linux not confirmed by us.
