Acer Nitro V 15 (ANV15-51)
The cheap way into RTX 4050 gaming, often under 900 dollars with slotted RAM you can double. The trade-off is honest: a dull 250-nit panel and loud fans. For 1080p gaming on a budget it does the job. For anything color-critical, look elsewhere.
Compiled from public sources and community data, not hands-on tested. What that means.
Best on ubuntu LTS. Confidence: medium

ubuntu-lts: Raptor Lake plus RTX 4050, hybrid graphics. Proprietary nvidia driver, on-demand PRIME for battery. Suspend on the dGPU wants nvidia power management or it can hang. Webcam is plain UVC. The screen is the real complaint here, washed-out colors, 250 nits, this is a bad panel for anything but gaming. No fingerprint reader.
