Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x 14 Gen 9
Snapdragon X Elite
A 14.5 inch 3K 90Hz OLED and roughly 16 real hours of battery make this one of the best Windows-on-Arm ultrabooks, but on Linux it is work-in-progress with no speakers or webcam and firmware you must pull off Windows first.

Common questions
- Does the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x 14 Gen 9 (Snapdragon X Elite) work with Linux?
- Not cleanly: there are significant gaps, so we don't recommend it for Linux as-is. The Yoga Slim 7x is one of the handful of Snapdragon X Elite laptops Canonical has booted with the Ubuntu 25.04 arm64 image, but support is work-in-progress: built-in speakers and the webcam are not yet supported, and the machine needs device firmware extracted from the Windows partition before it is usable, so a dual-boot is the recommended path.

- RRP is about 1199 USD; street price is often lower.

- What's the battery life like?
- A 70 Wh pack, around 16 hours real-world mixed use. We score battery 10/10.
- Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?
- RAM is soldered, so the 16 GB it ships with is the RAM it dies with. Storage starts at 512 GB on this configuration.
