Apple MacBook Pro 16 (M4 Max, 2024)
A reference creative workstation: M4 Max, 40-core GPU, a 1000-nit 120 Hz mini-LED panel, 14-hour battery. On Linux it does nothing: Asahi does not support the M4. For this site that is a 1 on the one axis we score. A macOS-only machine.
Compiled from public sources and community data, not hands-on tested. What that means.

fedora: Apple Silicon. Asahi Linux is the only route and the M4 generation is not supported: Asahi's bring-up effort targets M1 and M2, with M3 and M4 explicitly behind because each chip needs fresh reverse-engineering of the boot, GPU and peripheral stack. On an M4 Max there is no working desktop Linux. This is a macOS machine. Asahi support state changes, so check the live feature page before assuming anything moved.
